This lovely couple met and vacationed on Cape Cod together, so when it was time to chose a venue for their wedding, the choice was clear. Originally the ceremony was planned to take place under a beautiful arbor on the beach followed by a cocktail hour and dinner in a peaked tent festooned with lights, candles, and flowers.

Mother Nature had other plans and we never could have predicted the deluge that came the night before the wedding. A rainstorm flooded the tent, knocked out the electricity and made it impossible to hold a wedding in our original location.

 

With the help of some well-connected cousins, we were able to find a local restaurant that could host the event and an army of friends and family got to work to move the rentals, flowers, and liquor to the new venue.

Our innovative caterer turned the would-be 3-course meal into tapas plates and grazing stations, the bars were stocked, and there was plenty of music to dance to. The guests forgot about the rain and the couple had a love-filled and certainly memorable day!
