I take pride in my ability to create memorable, fun, and personalized events. I love to see the joy in guests eyes as they notice the little details that make an event truly special. No detail is too small, and no idea is too big. From intimate gathering to large-scale fundraising events, from first birthdays to fully staged live performances, strategically transforming a creative idea into reality is what I love most of all.
I'm passionate about event planning because of its unique ability to combine strategic creativity with acute organization skills. I graduated from Simmons College with a dual BA in Communications and Art History, and an MS in Communications Management. For the past 10+ years I have worked in museums, galleries, performing arts organizations, direct service nonprofits, and higher education. I started planning weddings and celebrations for family and friends, then eventually started taking on private clients and Champagne & Confetti was born.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and two dogs. We are constantly striving to make our house a home, so I spend a lot of time in our garden or doing home improvement projects. Recently I have begun a hobby in miniatures, and just completed my first 3-story hand built miniature house. In my free time, I am an active community volunteer, working with local social justice groups to increase fundraising efforts. I am also an avid traveler and travel photographer - some of my favorite trips have included Cuba, India, and Morocco.
I love a refreshing drink on a pool deck, fresh and bold typography, delicious food, live-edge wood, custom cocktails, libraries with ladders, exotic flowers, bright pops of color, carrara marble, botanical sketches, passionate flamenco dancing, colorful up-lighting, delicious espresso, the smell of antique books, hosting dinner parties with friends and family, organized toys, and of course... champagne!
