The June 11th Golf For Kids tournament raised over $60,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands.

Teams from across Cape Cod and Greater Boston assembled at the Pocasset Golf Club after a rainstorm the previous Monday forced a reschedule. We got lucky and the sun was on our side throughout the day - shining down on over 80 golfers who took to the links. 

 

Players participated in fun contests throughout the day - a Hole in One sponsored by Tracy Volkswagen, and a fun 50/50 On the Green contest sponsored by Murphy's Cigars.

 

Refreshments provided by Barefoot wines and Naukabout Brewery kept the players loosened up throughout the day and ready for the silent and live auction during the reception. Unique items such as a Boston Bruins Ledgends autographed jersey sold for premium bids, and some guests walked away with one-of-a-kind items like a Ted Williams signed statistics chart!

The tournament has come a long way since it's inception 18 years ago when it raised only $12,000.  Over its 18 year history, Golf For Kids has raised nearly $1 million in support of the children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters here on Cape Cod and the Islands.
