Intimate Backyard Wedding

This sweet couple finally tied the knot after the Covid-19 pandemic rescheduled their plans multiple times - between lockdowns, travel bans, and family emergencies. Even the week of the event itself was fraught with logistical challenges. However, when the sun rose on their wedding day, it was all smiles - the wait was worth it!

From two cultures across the pond, this couple combined Dutch and English traditions, wildflowers, personalized details, and rustic simplicity to create a memorable and intimate backyard wedding with their closest family and friends.

All the delays and cancelations of plans meant that the groom could spend even more time updating their backyard to create the perfect oasis for their day.

And the bride incorporated handmade details throughout the event, spending countless hours personally hand stamping the invitations and programs, adding guest's names to napkin rings as a seating chart.

Because of the intimate guest list, the couple were able to personalize the ceremony by incorporating singalong (a British wedding tradition) to "Stand By Me" as well as a unique handfasting ceremony with a string of ribbons individually tied by everyone in attendance.

Another European nod - Instead of a traditional cake, the couple opted for a tiered cheese-cake, which was sliced up and served as an after dinner cheese course.

**This wedding was managed & executed by Champagne & Confetti, including floral design**
