This glamorous fundraising event for deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in 2011 raised funds to purchase a site-specific installation by Andy Goldsworthy, a internationally recognized sculptor and land artist.

 

With the direction of talented Gala Co-Chairs and a Gala Committee, and the inspiration from Dan Mathieu of MAX Ultimate Food, we based the event on the natural elements present in Goldworthy's art.

The cocktail hour featured a stationary food display on a table of wood and moss, with projections of Goldsworthy's video, Rivers and Tides.

 

An extensive art auction was installed for the event and included pieces from deCordova collection artists as well as other Boston-based artists.

Dinner was held under a clear tent on the grounds of the Sculpture Park and the dim lighting, flowering branches in the centers of the tables, and clear glass chargers further brought Goldsworthy's inspiration to life during the 3 course meal and live fundraising ask.
