From the moment the radiant bride walked down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight—a true testament to the powerful connection between this couple and their guests.

 

Inspired by the town’s coastal character, the couple embraced an elegant, storm-at-sea aesthetic rather than a traditional nautical theme. Their vision brought subtle drama and softness to the day, perfectly complementing the natural beauty of their venue, the Inn at Mystic. With its rolling green hills and panoramic river views, the property provided a breathtaking ceremony setting. As the couple exchanged vows beneath a custom archway, cranes soared overhead, adding a touch of wild, unscripted magic to the moment.

Design details throughout the wedding celebrated the couple’s love of the sea in an artful, understated way. Sea glass, sailor’s knots, and weathered driftwood accented the reception tables, paired with lush floral arrangements of phalaenopsis orchids, blue thistle, and sculptural air plants that echoed the texture and movement of ocean waves.

 

Each guest found their seat with the help of starfish escort cards, and in place of a traditional guestbook, loved ones signed a wooden oar, now a cherished keepsake hanging in the couple’s home.
