NONPROFIT EVENT PLANNING & DESIGN | BOSTON, MA

Bottom Line Massachusetts
all in gala 2026

Creating an immersive fundraising experience that celebrates student success, strengthens donor connection, and brings a mission to life.

Bottom Line Massachusetts welcomed its community of supporters to Encore Boston Harbor for ALL IN, its annual fundraising celebration dedicated to strengthening donor connection, celebrating student success, and advancing the organization's mission.

As the nonprofit event planner and designer, we brought together strategic event planning, experiential design, fundraising strategy, and guest engagement to create an environment where the impact of Bottom Line's work was impossible to miss.

The evening also marked an exciting new chapter for the organization, introducing guests to its newly appointed Executive Director and refreshed, bold brand identity.

The Concept: GET IN. GRADUATE. GO FAR.

For this nonprofit fundraising event, we wanted the environment to tell the story of Bottom Line's impact through the students, alumni, advisors, and mentors who make that mission possible.

Throughout the space, immersive event design brought the organization's GET IN, GRADUATE, and GO FAR framework to life. Student and alumni stories were woven throughout the guest experience through photography, statistics, and mission-driven décor, giving supporters a tangible connection to the people behind the organization's work.

A mentor appreciation wall celebrated the individuals who help students navigate their educational journeys, while storytelling moments throughout the space gave donors a closer look at the impact of Bottom Line's work.

Rather than treating the mission as something guests encountered only during a speech or presentation, we made it part of the physical environment—turning the event itself into an extension of the organization's story.

Fundraising Event Design That Drives Engagement

For us, fundraising event planning is about more than creating a beautiful gala. The most effective fundraising experiences give guests meaningful, memorable ways to participate.

We incorporated multiple fundraising activations throughout the evening, including Bottom Line's Lockbox Fundraiser. The interactive experience added an element of surprise and play while creating another opportunity for guests to contribute to the mission.

During dinner, we transformed the room for a dynamic giving moment using glowing orbs to visually represent the collective impact of the community's generosity. As guests rallied in support of Bottom Line students, the room itself became a visual expression of their shared investment in the future.

The evening culminated in a little friendly competition: Coach Ken Carter signed a custom-made basketball and awarded it to the evening's most generous table.

Creating Energy from the Start

Guest experience and event production began the moment supporters arrived.

During cocktail hour, a live electric violin performance brought an unexpected burst of energy to the room and established the tone for an evening that was celebratory, contemporary, and deeply connected to the mission.

The event balanced storytelling and celebration throughout—giving guests space to connect socially while continually bringing them back to the reason they had gathered in the first place.

A Message That Moved the Room

A highlight of the evening was a powerful address from featured speaker Coach Ken Carter, whose work in education, discipline, and equity aligned closely with Bottom Line's mission.

His message reinforced a central truth at the heart of the organization: students need more than access to college. They need advocacy, support, and resources to persist, graduate, and enter their careers prepared for what comes next.

His presence gave the evening's mission an even more personal dimension and created a memorable moment of connection between Bottom Line's work and the community supporting it.

The Impact

ALL IN was ultimately about more than one evening. It was an opportunity to bring Bottom Line's community together around a shared belief in what becomes possible when students have the support they need to get in, graduate, and go far.

Through strategic nonprofit event planning, fundraising event design, experiential design, event production, and donor engagement, we created an experience that made the organization's mission visible, tangible, and impossible to overlook.

Because talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't. And when a community goes ALL IN, it can help change that.
