This year’s Fall Benefit was a truly unforgettable evening — made even more meaningful as CMCB celebrated an incredible milestone: the purchase of a new building in the heart of Roxbury. To honor this major step forward and deepen their connection to the community, CMCB reimagined their traditional fundraiser, creating a relaxed, welcoming, and community-centered event that perfectly captured the spirit of their mission.

Instead of a formal seated dinner, guests were invited to explore a vibrant array of tasting stations hosted by up-and-coming local chefs. Each station showcased diverse, globally inspired cuisines, highlighting the cultural richness of the Boston community CMCB calls home. Drinks from beloved local producers were shaken up with fresh-squeezed juice mixers to keep the energy flowing and the conversations lively throughout the evening.

In a playful and symbolic nod to growth and creativity, Magna-Tiles served as the evening’s centerpieces. Guests enthusiastically built sculptures and towers together, sparking new connections and celebrating the idea of building something enduring and joyful, much like CMCB’s vision for their new home.

The true heart of the evening, however, came from the music. Student and faculty musicians filled the space with powerful performances that brought the mission to life in the most moving way possible. Every note played, was a vivid reminder of why music education matters and why CMCB’s future in Roxbury holds so much promise.

The night not only met but exceeded their fundraising goals, laying an even stronger foundation for the work ahead. It was a night of laughter, connection, inspiration. CMCB is proof that when a community comes together around a shared dream, truly extraordinary things happen.
