Catalina

In today's diverse world, celebrating cultural heritage through event design has become a beautiful way to honor traditions while infusing personal style. At Champagne & Confetti: Celebrations by Catalina, we specialize in crafting bespoke luxury events that seamlessly blend cultural elements with modern aesthetics, creating unforgettable experiences for our clients.

Incorporating cultural traditions into event design not only pays homage to one's heritage but also enriches the experience for all attendees. By thoughtfully integrating rituals, attire, music, and cuisine, events become a tapestry of meaningful moments that reflect the unique backgrounds of the hosts. Here are some examples of how we've successfully blended cultural traditions with contemporary design:

S & R's Multicultural Tropical Disco Wedding

This vibrant celebration combined Afghan and Jewish traditions with a Miami Vice-inspired theme. Set under the lush canopy of the Roger Williams Botanical Garden, the event featured unique multicultural elements that they made all their - like personalized his & hers henna designs, and a chuppah draped with lush fabrics given to the bride by her mother. They opted for an extended cocktail hour with diverse food stations (tacos, kafta, and Persain pastries), creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Guests had the chance to hunt for pink flamingos hidden throughout the venue in a scavenger hunt inspired by the family's affinity for the nostalgic lawn decor. The dance party commenced with energetic dhol drums, inviting guests to dance the night away.

S & M's Bold & Multicultural Wedding Design

Embracing their Indian and Polish heritage, this couple infused their wedding with rich cultural traditions and bold design choices. The autumnal event showcased deep jewel tones accented with vibrant fuchsia and teal, reflected in florals, attire, and décor. After some research, we realized that throwing flowers was a common tradition between Indian and Polish cultures, so we set up a petal bar for guests to shower the couple with during the recessional. The paper cones that held the petals were made using vintage Chopin music sheets (the groom is a pianist). Traditional elements included henna art, a Polish bread-breaking ceremony, and a multicultural menu. The fashion was just as personalized, with both bride and groom wearing multiple custom outfits throughout the night.

C &N's Nature-Inspired Celebration

Drawing inspiration from their transcendentalist surroundings at the Fruitlands Museum, this couple curated a wedding filled with personalized and thoughtful details. The ceremony highlighted breathtaking views behind a whimsical chuppah adorned with vibrant wildflowers and a nontraditional tallis (a handmade lace tablecloth passed down through generations). A gluten-free, three-tiered cake adorned with organic, edible flowers served as a stunning centerpiece. Tables were named after various fruits, with illustrations by a local artist and friend, nodding to the bride's favorite food and the venue's history. The heartfelt ceremony led to an evening of emotional toasts, poetry readings, and lively dancing, including a spirited horah.
