The Air we share
We transformed the Museum of Science into an immersive pop up public exhibition, The Air We Share, in collaboration with Sanofi, which explored the intersection of environmental health and respiratory wellness. Anchored by a live fireside chat with Bill Nye (yes, that science guy!), the experience invited guests of all ages to engage with respiratory science through four interactive exhibition pods designed to educate, provoke curiosity, and inspire action.
At the center of the exhibition stood a monumental sculptural lung constructed from familiar indoor plants proven to improve air quality. The piece served as both an artistic focal point and a visual metaphor for the invisible systems that sustain us. Surrounding installations guided guests through immersive and tactile learning experiences.
Visitors explored the respiratory system through cinematic virtual reality journeys, examined microscopic environmental pollutants through illuminated interactive displays, and engaged with hands-on demonstrations that visualized the journey of a breath through the lungs — including the opportunity to interact with real cow lungs. The exhibition concluded with a reflective activation encouraging guests to consider the role we all play in creating healthier environments and communities.
By blending scientific storytelling, experiential design, and public engagement, the exhibition transformed complex respiratory health concepts into an accessible, memorable, and deeply human experience.
